  31.    Following more than a year of research, development and architectural changes,
  32.    DARC are proud to present this beta version for testing. Amid a sea of new
  33.    features and enhancements, a new GUI, better video quality and better encoding
  34.    performance are just a few of the highlights on offer.

  51.      The encoder configuration interface has been redesigned for ease of use.
  52.      Related items are better grouped, there are fewer wizard-style screens to
  53.      navigate and the dialog window itself is far smaller than before.

  57.      Codec performance modes have been adjusted according to a rate-distortion model
  58.      and with respect to functional use cases. This better balances video quality
  59.      against the rate of encoding.

  64.      of encoding time. Insane quality mode has been created to enable all bells and
